NAPPY HUNT March was a big month here for us, we were a sponsor in the Semi-Annual Nappy Hunt again. I actually found the time this hunt to look for the icons myself, and even managed to find a few of the Extreme icons, although I only got Outrageous on the last day of the hunt and I needed each and every one of the extra clues given out. It was a great hunt and very, very clever! Thanks to all the hunters who visited my site, and also to all the people who signed up for our newsletter during March. The lucky winner of our competition was 'Aimee' who now has a $25 gift voucher to spend on whatever she likes in store. I wish all the hunters the very best in the Nappy Hunt Prize Draws! NAPPIES We now have the pumpkin coloured Pop-In Nappies in stock. These are a new nappy designed in the UK. They are an All in Two nappy, meaning they come in two parts, the outer shell, plus a snap-in booster. The all in two design ensures they are easy to use, but also quick drying. Because the nappy already comes with it's own built in cover, you don't need to spend extra money buying covers. The nappies are 'One Size', which means you will also save money as you can use this nappy from newborn to toddler. NEW PRODUCTS COMING SOON We are excited to announce that we will soon be stocking some fantastic new products from Twinkle Lily. Look out for more cloth nappies, boosters and cloth pads to name just a few. All of the Twinkle Lily products are hand sewn by another WAHM, and all the products come in gorgeous fabrics. Here is a sneak peek at some of the products: Woollen Breast Pads Cloth Pads THIS WEEK IN MY NEW GREENER LIFE Today I decided to start my compost bin. I've been thinking about it for a while and reading all the books, and I finally got myself down to Bunnings to buy a bin. I had looked around home but there was nothing suitable, but I found black plastic bins for $10 each from Bunnings, so I got 2 of those, much cheaper than the $100 purpose built compost bins. I had my husband cut the bottom out of both bins and drill holes in the sides. I set the bins up in a good spot. I started collecting leaves for the bottom layer. I was walking around in the paddocks and couldn't work out why the cows were chasing me around. I'll admit I have no clue about cows, and usually we leave each other alone, but today they kept following me around and it was starting to freak me out. My husband came out and I asked him what was going on with the cows??? He said they thought I had food because I was carrying around a bucket. Of course!! I threw away the bucket and came back to our yard until the cows lost interest in the bucket (and me!) I went out again to empty my bokashi bucket, and once again they started to follow me. It took me a good 5 minutes to realise they were interested in the bucket again!! One cow was blocking the gate I needed to go through to get back home, so instead of chasing it away (I still think if I try to chase the cows away they will end up chasing me) I threw the bucket over the fence, lifted my son over the fence, and then climbed over myself, problem solved! I just hope no one saw me doing this! So anyway, I've got the compost going, I'll let you know how it's going next week! I have found a great product to share with everyone. As you know I am trying to 'greenify' our life, by reusing, reducing and recycling. A couple weeks ago I found these great toothbrushes: Environmentally Friendly Toothbrushes They are made of bamboo and are completely compostable. I have been using mine for a couple weeks now, and although it was a bit weird at first as the head isn't angled like most plastic toothbrushes, I am now used to using it and it is fine. They do recommend you use a new brush every month, but the brushes come in a pack of 12 for $33, so they are definitely still affordable. My husband picked these up from the post office for me, and I just know he was thinking 'what on earth has she bought this time??' but honestly I think they are great, and well worth a try. I have also been checking out my local supermarket for environementally friendly and organic products. I am glad to see there is a range of products from cleaning items to toothpaste, and also a good range of organic food, and a few of these have made it into my trolley, so next time you are at the supermarket, have a look around and even if you only buy one eco-friendly product, you are still making a difference. Now if only I could remember to take my green bags to the supermarket each week ..............

Title: New 'Green' Blog
We have recently moved to 8 acres, and are enjoying a 'greener' lifestyle. This has prompted me to add more environmetnally friendly products to my store, so that others can lead a greener lifestyle too. We are having so much fun with the chickens, planting fruit, veges and herbs, and recycling, so from now on I plan to do a weekly blog about our misadventures! Make sure you check in every week to see how we are going and to get some incentive to make a green change in your own life!

Title: Introducing Cloth Nappies!
.jpg)
Over the next few weeks we will be expdanding our range of environmentally friendly products. The first to be added is the Pop In nappy. This new nappy on the market is a fabulous combination of AI2 and AIO. It combines the economical advantage of a one-size coverless nappy with the absorption qualities of bamboo and leak-safe double gussets at the legs. This nappy can be used from birth to potty training and over a period of 2.5 years, washing every second day, babies will get 450 wears out of this nappy. That works out to 8c per nappy change, compared with disposables which cost between 33c and 68c per change! The Pop-In is available in a range of gorgeous pastel colours with matching boosters also available. Even just with one cloth nappy, you will be making a big difference to the environment! .jpg)

As my own children get older, I intend to use this exercise to teach them that not everyone is as fortunate as we are here in Australia. To find out more information visit Christmas Boxes. Don't forget to have a look at all the new Wasabi Kids clothes we have just stocked, some very funky pieces. Our favourite would have to be this very cute frog:

Title: Welcome to our blog
Things have been very hectic here for us lately. I've had a store on www.OZeBaby.com.au for about 6 months, and I've just decided to take the plunge and create my own website. Although it's been daunting and a lot of hard work, I'm really happy with how the website is looking now.

We are also pleased to be stocking some great items from Groovy Kidz Funky Threadz. Sandy is another work at home mum, and we met when we were pregnant with our sons. She has lots of fabulous items, so make sure you check them all out.
We will also soon be stocking the all new Snack and Sandwich wraps, the environmentally friendly alternative to cling wrap. Make sure you keep a look out for these, they are really fabulous, and aren't fiddly like cling wrap for little kids (and big kids!!).
Also coming soon is some gorgeous handmade journals and albums, including some great Baby Shower gifts.
